Climate & Seasons
Like other places in the tropics, the seasons are mostly divided between wet and dry. Between November and April is the dry season, which is also peak tourist season, and destinations like Phuket and Krabi are swarming with people. Dry season doesn’t mean that it will not be incredibly humid, especially in Bangkok.
The wet season brings lower prices and fewer crowds at the expense of some sudden (but short-lived) rain showers, which are entirely bearable. Also, cities such as Bangkok may benefit from the frequent showers during the wet season, which “wash” away some of the smog.
